Lunkface was a Coney Island Dominator, in The Warriors novel.
In The Novel[]
Lunkface, the most strongest and dangerous member of his gang “The Coney Island Dominators” he’s described in the novel as a black teenage boy “Beaty eyed” and “negro-faced” with a violent temper. Due to being a narcissist, Lunkface hates being made fun off or challenged, nearly quitting the dominantors when being made the fool in front of the members. Due to also being sadistic, Lunkface is obsessed with abuse and assaults both verbal and sexual, initiating the murder of a man passing by the dominators on the street and the gang-rape of a girl he persuaded to come along with his gang promising her the rank of “sister”. This obsession with violence is what leads to his downfall when he did not make it back to Coney Instead, he attempts to also gang-rape a fat an aging alcoholic nurse with Bimbo and Hector. All three of them got brutally beaten and placed under arrest by the NYPD officers.
In The Film[]
He is replaced by Ajax who is also an angry ruffian, it is speculated that Cowboy also has Lunkface's interests such as both counterparts being fond of the hats they wear. However, all of the Coney Island Dominators wear hats, while Cowboy is the only hat-person out of all his comrades.
