Formation and background
Little is known about the Knockdowns' formation, except that they were founded sometime before July 12, 1979. They were on the Gramercy Riffs' network.
The meeting

The Knockdowns were one of the gangs invited by Cyrus and the Riffs to the meeting held in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The Knockdowns sent nine delegates from their territory in Queens to the conclave, although it is unknown what became of the delegates when the meeting was interrupted by the shooting of Cyrus and the arrival of the cops.
